About The Position

Unified Mammography Services (UMAMS), a subsidiary of Unified Women’s Healthcare, provides in-office Breast Imaging services using advanced equipment and expert staff. We aim to deliver exceptional standards of care within affiliated OBGYN provider practices, offering patients a convenient one-stop solution for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms. UMAMS is seeking a Part-Time Float Mammography Technologist for its Mammography office at an affiliated practice in Tucson, AZ. The role involves performing 3D digital mammography to aid in disease diagnosis within an OBGYN office setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of mammography, the ability to work independently, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
  • ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
  • ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
  • State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable).
  • Maintain registry status and continuing education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties.
  • Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English.
  • Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum two years of mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography imaging and quality control procedures.
  • Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
  • Communicate with radiologists regarding mammographic exams.
  • Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
  • Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
  • Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
  • Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
  • Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
  • Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
  • Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.
  • All other job requests as assigned by the Mammography Operations Manager, Director of Imaging Operations, or Care Center Administrator.
