The Mammography Technologist position is located in Manhattan & Brooklyn, NY, at New York Imaging (NYI). Our mission at NY Imaging Specialists is to provide the highest-quality advanced imaging in a patient-centered and compassionate environment, with the comfort and convenience of being close to home. We are an ACR-accredited facility with accreditation in MRI, CT, PET/CT, and Ultrasound.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of continuous experience in Mammography.
  • Licensed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Availability to work daytime weekday hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
  • Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
  • Track inventory and manage supply orders.
  • Provide courteous and professional explanations of procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
  • Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce accurate, high-quality images.
  • Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
  • Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Orient and train new hires.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary.
