Get to Know Your Team: BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.

Requirements

High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
ARRT Certification in Radiological Technology.
Texas Department of Health Licensure.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience in screening and diagnostic procedures.
Experience in performing QC tests.
Basic knowledge of stereotactic biopsies.
Associate's Degree or certificate required from a CAHEA-approved Radiological Technology Program.
Mammo registry.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services using various imaging modalities, which may include Stereotactic, Contrast Mammography, and DEXA.
Perform screening and diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Exercise critical thinking skills, troubleshoot, and manage stress.
Work well with others and have effective communication skills.
Follow the direction of the Breast Center Radiologist and established procedures/protocols.
Adhere to all radiation safety precautions when performing exams.
Complete exams at the main facility (HBC), detached facilities, and outreach settings.
Be responsible for quality of images, positioning skills, and basic knowledge of quality control tests.
