Get to Know Your Team: BSA Harrington Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art, 48,000-square-foot facility with two new linear accelerators for radiation treatments, 24 patient exam rooms, 28 heated chemotherapy infusion chairs, and three private infusion rooms for families.

Requirements

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.
  • ARRT Certification in Radiological Technology.
  • Texas Department of Health Licensure.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience in screening and diagnostic procedures.
  • Experience in performing QC tests.
  • Basic knowledge of stereotactic biopsies.
  • Associate's Degree or certificate required from a CAHEA-approved Radiological Technology Program.
  • Mammo registry.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient services using various imaging modalities, which may include Stereotactic, Contrast Mammography, and DEXA.
  • Perform screening and diagnostic procedures in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exercise critical thinking skills, troubleshoot, and manage stress.
  • Work well with others and have effective communication skills.
  • Follow the direction of the Breast Center Radiologist and established procedures/protocols.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety precautions when performing exams.
  • Complete exams at the main facility (HBC), detached facilities, and outreach settings.
  • Be responsible for quality of images, positioning skills, and basic knowledge of quality control tests.
