Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiology credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Requires completion of a federally approved 40 hour mammography training course within 3 Months (90 days) of hire and completion of 25 supervised mammography studies to meet Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) requirements.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in General Practice credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging as a Mammography Technologist, ensuring precise patient positioning and technical parameter selection for accurate breast health screenings.
  • Provide compassionate patient care by explaining clinical procedures and educating individuals on the vital role of mammography in preventive healthcare.
  • Execute advanced medical imaging tasks using modern EHR systems to maintain clinical documentation, ensuring image quality meets strict diagnostic standards.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to uphold radiation safety protocols and quality improvement guidelines for optimal patient and staff safety.
  • Manage mammography equipment performance and facilitate seamless care coordination by submitting high-resolution images and patient history into the PACS network.
