About The Position

University Radiology is looking for a full-time Mammography Tech Assitant for our Elizabeth, NJ Imaging Office. This is a unique administrative role where you will be assisting our Mammography patients as they navigate through their care process. The position operates Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. University Radiology is the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, with over 180 Board Certified radiologists. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Medical office experience preferably in radiology
Knowledge of medical terminology
Bilingual Spanish

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in a formal radiologic tech program is a real plus

Responsibilities

Communicate with patients and prepare them for the exams on site in Elizabeth or at one of our other University Radiology Imaging Offices
Patient film and report coordination
Possibility to assist the Mammography Technologist with patient flow
Other office related tasks as needed
May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.
May be asked to travel to other URG offices as needed
