About The Position

University Radiology is looking for a full-time Mammography Tech Assistant for our Elizabeth, NJ Imaging Office. This role involves communicating with patients and preparing them for exams, coordinating patient films and reports, and potentially assisting Mammography Technologists with patient flow. The position may also include other office-related tasks and requires adherence to all department and facility safety protocols, especially when working near specialized imaging equipment.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills
Medical office experience preferably in radiology
Knowledge of medical terminology

Nice To Haves

Enrollment in a formal radiologic tech program is a real plus

Responsibilities

Communicate with patients and prepare them for the exam
Patient film and report coordination
Possibility to assist Mammo techs with patient flow
Other office related tasks as needed
May be required to perform duties in or near areas containing specialized imaging equipment and must be able to adhere to all department and facility safety protocols.
