About The Position
At Franciscan, our Supervisor Mammography is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities and specialized functions of the Mammography section. The Supervisor monitors work performed to maintain optimal proficiency and safety of Mammography staff, including ensuring the maintenance of discipline within their section, and providing a familiar and structured base to meet accreditation processes for accrediting bodies.
Requirements
- Certificate Radiology
- 1 year Radiology
- 1 year Mammography
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Radiology Technologist License (RADTECH) - State Licensing Board in applicable state

Responsibilities
- Maintain production and quality of mammograms by following established standards and procedures.
- Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure.
- Complete all imaging exams and procedures; identify optimal images for review, processing, and evaluation according to policy and protocol.
- Confirm patient identify and obtain and records patient identification, medical history, or test results
- Review and update patient documentation in EHR/PACS.
- Block and release green time in EPIC to fit staffing needs, meeting schedule and patient needs.
- Monitor PACS HOLD, FIX, and UNREAD list to ensure studies are read in a timely manner.
- Address QA issues with staff according to radiologist's needs.
