About The Position

A temporary employee wellness program serving a professional workforce in Illinois is seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist for a 13-week mobile screening assignment. The ideal candidate is independent, patient-focused, and experienced in delivering high-quality mammography services in a mobile setting. Candidates must already be fully credentialed and MQSA-qualified to independently perform mammography exams before starting this assignment.

Requirements

  • Active ARRT RT(R)(M) certification.
  • Active Illinois IEMA-OHS Medical Radiation Technology accreditation by onboarding date.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of screening mammography experience.
  • Documented 3D/tomosynthesis experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile setting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable supporting patient-facing coordination duties as needed.
  • Clean background check and current drug screen.
  • Ability to provide required MQSA documentation before start date.
  • This site is not able to train, qualify, or document candidates into mammography eligibility. Candidates must be fully qualified before beginning the assignment.
  • Candidates must provide documentation of: At least 200 mammograms performed in the prior 24 months.
  • Candidates must provide documentation of: At least 15 mammography CEUs in the prior 36 months.
  • Candidates must provide documentation of: At least 8 hours of initial Digital Breast Tomosynthesis training.

Nice To Haves

  • Mobile mammography experience.
  • Hologic 3D/tomosynthesis experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform 3D screening mammograms in accordance with MQSA standards, Illinois requirements, facility protocols, and radiation safety standards.
  • Complete daily mammography quality control.
  • Review images for technical quality and positioning before submission.
  • Transmit studies securely and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical workspace.
  • Provide a professional, patient-centered experience.
  • Support onsite screening workflow, including patient check-in, documentation, schedule flow, and daily operational communication.
  • This role does not include diagnosis, image interpretation, prescribing, determining medical necessity, or directing physician/radiologist clinical judgment.
