About The Position

Insight Medical Imaging is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their dynamic and expanding team. This is a full-time, permanent position that will rotate around 14 clinics offering mammography exams. Insight Medical Imaging is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as Fort McMurray. Requirements

MRT(R) Designation in good standing CAMRT/ACMDTT.
Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
Clinical competency in medical radiography.
Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.
Knowledge of technical parameters for breast imaging.
Working knowledge of DI equipment to ensure that the units are functioning correctly.

Nice To Haves

Mammography experience is an asset.
Bone density trained is an asset.
CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

Prepares, performs, reports and records a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures, with attention to the welfare and comfort of the patient.
Reports any recognized unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist.
Responsible for the operation, safety measures, and basic maintenance of all digital equipment.
Responsible for the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area.
Knowledge of computer system and all DI office duties.
Maintains quality control in the performance of all procedures.
Willing to assist Radiologists, students, or fellow staff member as required.
