About The Position

University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a full-time Mammographer for its Breast Health Center. The center operates Monday through Friday, with no evenings or weekends required. The Mammographer performs screening and diagnostic mammography and other breast imaging procedures, operates mammography and related equipment, and coordinates patient care with other services.

Requirements

• Georgia Registry in Radiography.
• Current A.R.R.T registration in Mammography.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of mammography experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to department protocols and physician orders.
• Prepare and position patients accurately to obtain optimal mammographic images.
• Operate mammography equipment and coordinate patient care with other patient services.
• Perform tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other appropriate equipment or devices.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested.
