About The Position
Tasks and duties consistent with Mammography (screening and diagnostic, cone compressions, oblique and tangential views, magnification, etc.), as well as sterotactic biopsies and needle localization, mammogram quality control, and other related duties.
Requirements
- Current credentials, continuing education, etc. consistent with FDA/QSA and ACR requirements for mammography.
- Registered/eligible by the ARRT in Radiology and Mammography.
- Successfully completed a two year accredited course in Radiologic Science.
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- At least six months of experience in the performance of mammography is preferred.
- Sterotactic (Mammotone, MIBB and /or ABBI) experience preferred, but will train suitable candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography (screening and diagnostic, cone compressions, oblique and tangential views, magnification, etc.)
- Perform sterotactic biopsies and needle localization
- Conduct mammogram quality control
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Work as a radiographer as needed
