About The Position

Join our exceptional team at Mercy One as a Mammographer Tech III! As a Mammographer Tech III at MercyOne, you will: Perform mammography procedures on scheduled shifts, operates mammography equipment Provide care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Provide patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems Maintain open and positive communication with staff, physicians, and other departments Instruct, supervise, and evaluate student technologists

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (R).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist (M).
  • Maintains active registry status in ARRT.
  • Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice.
  • 2 years MercyOne experience or 3 or more mammography experience.
  • 15 Mammo CEUs for 3 rolling calendar years.
  • 1 CEU per year in Radiation Safety/24 CEU’s every 2 years.
  • No formal disciplinary actions in file (written notice or higher).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Must participate in one of the following per year: MercyOne sanctioned community event, Presentation to professional group, Advanced Cardiac Life Support qualification
