The role allows for building relationships with healthcare facilities and becoming part of the SMS ONETEAM. New mammographers can receive paid initial training.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved 2-year Radiologic Technology program.
  • Registered with ARRT, American Registry of Clinical Radiologic Technologists or Licensed to perform general radiographic procedures.
  • Ability to produce quality imaging with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to interact in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must possess valid Class D Driver's License.
  • Must have acceptable driving record.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check, urine drug screen and physical.
  • Must have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 40 hours of training in mammography.
  • Ability to drive or experience driving equivalent to a 26' straight truck.
  • CDL NOT REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

  • Screening mammography at clinics, corporate and community outreach locations within the Twin Cities metro area.
  • Work as a team of two mammographers or one mammographer and an assistant on a mobile mammography unit equipped with Hologic 3D mammography system.
  • Safely relocate the mobile unit to medical facilities along a dedicated route in accordance with DOT rules and regulations.
  • Drive the mobile unit to screening locations.
