About The Position

At the clinical direction of the Radiologist, independently perform breast imaging procedures to include routine screenings, diagnostic exams, mag views, needle localization and biopsies. Maintain licensure as required by State, Federal and MQSA regulations. Perform all radiographic procedures. Per Diem positions have no guaranteed hours or set schedule. The position will fill in for individuals who take unplanned and/or planned time off.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
NV State radiology license required.
NV State mammography license required.
Current BLS certification required.
ARRT Certificate - American Registry Radiologic Technologist certificate required; RT (R).
Mammo credential; RT(R)(M)
Ability to communicate with employees, physicians, patients and administrative staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Minimun1of 2 years’ experience in mammography performing at least 200 exams per year.
Proficiency in all aspects of diagnostic radiography.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and complex breast imaging and examination procedures including localization, biopsies and needle aspirations.
Perform C.A.D. processing of mammography films.
Perform all radiographic examinations.
Maintain mammography and radiography rooms in a neat, clean and stocked condition.
Demonstrate competency in all applicable aspects of the Radiology and Hospital information systems.
Perform required quality assurance procedures at the designated intervals as appropriate.
Prepare documentation required by Federal, State and ACR policies and input into mammography information system.
