About The Position

CHC, a nonprofit social service agency in the Akron area, is hiring a full-time Male Specimen Collector for its Specimen Collection Room. The role supports a federal contract providing laboratory and substance use disorder services to federal probationers. Because urine collection may involve direct observation, collectors must be the same gender as the person providing the specimen. Training in the collection process will be provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Clean driving record.
• Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to be trained.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to complete documentation on a computer and by hand.
• CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience handling specimen samples.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect urine specimens.
• Document and file collection records.
• Mail results.
• Stock supplies and clean the Specimen Collection Room.
• Perform other medical office tasks as requested by the supervisor.
