Malama Ambassador / Birth Equity Advocate - Bilingual (Part-Time)

Malama HealthSan Bernardino, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Malama leverages technology and people to deliver exceptional care, building novel biometric tracking and patient engagement tools that enable skilled Care Managers to provide high-touch care navigation and coordination for pregnant and postpartum mothers, improving health outcomes for mom and baby. The company has raised $9.2M in funding and is on target to hit profitability early this year. Malama's mission is to improve pregnancy-related outcomes, starting with conditions that disproportionately affect historically underserved groups. They are seeking Malama Ambassadors to serve as trusted connectors between high-risk pregnant and postpartum Medi-Cal members and Malama. These Ambassadors will be embedded in WIC clinics, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), and community-based organizations (CBOs) across the NorCal region, performing outreach, eligibility screening, and warm handoffs to Malama's Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Birth Equity services. This role is an excellent entry point for recent graduates or early-career advocates interested in building a meaningful career in community health and birth equity, particularly for those passionate about reproductive justice, building relationships, and directly improving outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and low-income birthing families.
