About The Position

The Eastmark Ambassador (Ambassador) will actively support Eastmark’ s community values, vision, and philosophies, while demonstrating a style of support and organization that allows residents needs to be met with a high level of satisfaction. Candidate will provide a warm and professional approach while utilizing their experience, skills and exceptional communication abilities with all Eastmark stakeholders. The Ambassador will monitor all of the activities of The ‘Mark™ community center during specified times, inclusive of the community center pool, Bus Stop and adjacent grounds. Ambassador will be provided with a schedule at the beginning of each month for the current month, as well as schedule on an as-needed basis, without any minimum guaranteed hours per week. Ambassador will be scheduled with as much notice as possible but may be required to respond to last minute (including early morning and/or late evening) requests for staff coverage in unforeseen circumstances (i.e. ambassador staff who call in sick, emergency situations). Ambassadors should be scheduled for coverage on evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • Education or experience in customer service, recreation programming, recreation facilities oversight or similar background

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, sales or similar discipline.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with database management tools

  • Knowledge of residential real estate and/or home building is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work a flexible, evening/weekend, short term schedule on a strict as-needed basis.
  • While on duty, serve as “first responder” and “gate keeper” for The ‘Mark™ and Eastmark Community Life team, answering questions, providing assistance and responding to needs quickly and accurately.
  • In a community engaging fashion, promote and inform residents to current and upcoming clubs, classes, programs, events and volunteers’ opportunities, assist with registration as appropriate.
  • Handle customer service needs with a friendly and caring -yet assertive- demeanor, following Eastmark Assembly, Eastmark Residential Association and facility guidelines.
  • Comfortable approaching residents who may not be following policies; capable of handling escalated situations.
  • Showcase The ‘Mark™ amenities and programs to visitors through tours and collateral; assist Community Representatives during peak visitor traffic.
  • Monitor The ‘Mark™ interior and exteriors spaces, including facility grounds, pool and adjacent areas, regularly throughout the day with a specific focus on the pool during (high traffic) season.
  • Assist with events, programs and activities as requested.
  • Assist with administrative functions, including updating community event calendars; hard copy materials; displays; data entry and data base systems; inventory and ordering; printing reports, etc.
  • Assist residents with check-out/check-in of recreation equipment and ensure that all resources are in good repair; report disrepair to appropriate manager for action.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for individuals and groups renting or otherwise utilizing The ’Mark™ for specific functions. Explain rules; provide information and review rental checklist with responsible resident; ensure area is properly set for the event; assist with set-up as necessary; inspect area port event to ensure renter’s compliance with policy.
  • Ensure that all residents and guests are adhering to the established Eastmark Resident Access cards Agreement. Monitor residents and guests of Th ‘Mark™ pool and Bus Stop as necessary check Access Card and match with photo identification to verify access rights. Respectfully and with high courtesy work with residents and their guest to resolve infractions.
  • Collect items left by residents; store lost items in the lost and found; retrieve and return to owner as necessary.
  • Perform light clean up of The ‘Mark™ (interior and exterior). Tidy and reset patio, pool deck and Bus Stop furniture as needed throughout the day to maintain a clean and neat appearance; wipe down tables and chairs as necessary.
  • Visually inspect the pool to ensure proper clarity and cleanliness; notify Landscape and Facilities Superintendent of any items that would require immediate attention.
  • Submit workorder and follow up as necessary.
  • Must maintain CPR and AED certifications.
  • Must be able to lift as least 30 pounds, stay on feet for long periods of time, physically able to complete executions of duties.
