About The Position

This is an on call position and it requires a full-time on-site presence.

Requirements

  • Vocational diploma in makeup artistry or equivalent credential.
  • Three (3) years’ experience required to perform duties satisfactorily.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, apply and remove all types of makeup based on project specifications, taking into account the era, style, shoot format and artistic vision.
  • Adapt makeup to suit specific conditions, including role requirements, performers’ features, wardrobe and lighting setups.
  • Co-ordinate makeup with costumes to meet production requirements.
  • Modify and touch up makeup during rehearsals, tapings and other performances.
  • Apply prosthetics, hairpieces, wigs, beards, moustaches and sideburns, as well as appropriate makeup, to meet production needs.
  • Perform touch-ups as needed during rehearsals, tapings and other performances.
  • Monitor inventory levels for makeup products and accessories, placing reorders according to established procedures to prevent shortages during production.
  • Maintain visual continuity across scenes using reference photos and continuity logs.
  • Research and test new makeup products, evaluating performance and reporting findings.
  • Prepare and submit cost estimates for makeup products as required.
  • Attend planning or production meetings upon request.
  • Purchase necessary makeup products as delegated.
  • Report any damaged or defective products, accessories or equipment to the appropriate department or supervisor.
  • Complete the appropriate forms and documents; share information verbally or in writing to ensure proper followup and to keep others informed.
  • Familiarize other employees with their duties and the work environment.
  • Carry out, as needed, all or part of the duties of another job classification within an equivalent or lower salary group, as well as other related duties.
