About The Position

This role supports the Makeup Supervisor in all operational aspects of makeup application and maintenance for GTN shows and various other productions and events. The Makeup and Hair Stylist is expected to provide a positive and professional experience for all guests and participants, and exhibit flexibility in assisting other departments during special events as directed by the Makeup and Hair Supervisor.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge in various makeup application techniques, including corrective, beauty, theatrical, and special effects makeup.
• Skilled in creating a range of hairstyles from contemporary to period-specific.
• Strong aesthetic sense with the ability to visualize and execute designs that suit different characters, themes, and events.
• Exceptional attention to detail is necessary for intricate makeup and hair requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for understanding client needs and collaborating effectively with other production team members.
• Ability to quickly solve issues related to makeup and hair styling, ensuring the best look is achieved and maintained under production conditions.
• Must be able to operate a Mac and Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Must sign the Statement of Faith.
• A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of Andrew Wommack Ministries.
• Must be passionate about providing a quality viewer experience.
• Must pass all required checks.
• Experience in makeup and hairstyling.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-department projects, providing expertise and creative solutions to meet project goals and enhance production quality.

Nice To Haves

• Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform the application of makeup and the fixing of the hair of talent during production shoots and live events.
• Prepare and maintain makeup kits and supplies, ensuring hygiene and organizational standards are met.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the makeup application areas.
• Support the Makeup and Hair Supervisor in managing inventory, including tracking stock and ordering supplies.
• Assist the Makeup and Hair Supervisor in scheduling and logistics to ensure smooth operations of the makeup department.
• Participate in training and development sessions to enhance skills and keep up with industry trends.
• Collaborate with other departments, assisting the Charis Creative Director and Wardrobe Supervisor during special events, as directed by the Make-Up and Hair Supervisor.
• Create a welcoming and professional environment for guests, providing assistance and responding to inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to the varying needs of the production and team.
