About The Position

Buff City Soap makes fresh, handmade soap and self-care essentials using clean, plant-based ingredients. During the busy holiday season (between Black Friday and New Year's), we need extra hands to help keep the shelves stocked, guests smiling, and the holiday magic flowing. This role is ideal for someone who loves people, doesn't mind smelling like various fragrances, and wants a fun job. The position involves guest interaction, product making, and general operational tasks within the Makery.

Requirements

• Retail or customer service experience is a plus, but a great attitude matters more.
• Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely like talking to people.
• Ability to keep energy up in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask without losing track.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Available days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sometimes repeatedly.
• Comfortable being around various scents and fragrances.
• Good hand and finger dexterity for production work.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance as needed.
• Willingness to assist with cleaning tasks like dusting, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and help them find products.
• Maintain an upbeat and positive atmosphere.
• Provide product recommendations.
• Make bath bombs, shower steamers, scrubs, butters, and other Makery favorites.
• Label, wrap, and stock finished products and gift sets.
• Follow quality and sanitation standards.
• Juggle production, guest interaction, and daily tasks.
• Keep the Makery and retail floor clean and organized.
• Restock as needed and support the team.
• Collaborate effectively with teammates.
