About The Position

RADCO is seeking a Make Ready Technician to join our incredibly talented team. The Make Ready Technician is a key player in our ability to prepare vacant homes for our future residents. This person is detail-oriented, willing to learn, collaborative, can prioritize and work well under deadlines, and exhibits pride in their work.

Requirements

  • Experience working in maintenance or construction is preferred
  • Possess proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, appliance repairs, heating and air-conditioning, plumbing, etc.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented and exhibits pride in quality of work
  • Takes initiative and self-motivated to complete tasks at hand
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license may be required based on property size and potential need for use of a golf cart.
  • Position requires individuals to furnish their own reliable transportation to fulfill the job’s functions.

Responsibilities

  • Aware of property goals and the condition of the property and takes immediate steps to address any issues, concerns, or unsafe conditions.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and the Property Manager.
  • Responsible to ensure move in ready apartment homes by completing the required punch list. Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repairs, as directed.
  • Remove and transfer appliances and equipment to/from storage area to apartment as circumstances warrant and assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, etc. to dumpster.
  • Complete all assigned maintenance work on vacant apartments within the Radco Residential requirement of 5-7 business days.
  • Complete all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor.
  • May be required to perform on-call emergency service requests when scheduled. When on call, emergency after hours calls will require an immediate response and arrival at the property no more than an hour after the call is received. On call bonus incentives will be provided.

  • Exhibit a sense of care and urgency with assigned work orders.
  • Attend and assist in resident activities and functions during or after hours as needed.
