About The Position

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking a dependable Make Ready Technician to join our team at Greyson’s Gate Apartments, a 272-unit community in Dallas. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys seeing the results. You'll prepare apartment homes for new residents by completing repairs, painting, touch-ups, and other make-ready work to ensure each home meets our standards before move-in.

Requirements

• Make-ready, apartment maintenance, construction, painting, or related experience preferred
• General knowledge of painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and basic repairs
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and complete projects on schedule
• Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
• Residence within a reasonable commute of Greyson’s Gate Apartments ( 20–30 minutes preferred )

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents
• Complete painting, touch-ups, drywall repairs, and minor carpentry
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Inspect apartment homes and identify items needing repair or replacement
• Complete make-ready work efficiently and to company standards
• Assist the maintenance team with service requests and property needs as needed
• Maintain tools, supplies, and a clean, organized work area
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept community
