About The Position

Stone Ridge of Conway is seeking an experienced Make Ready Technician to join our maintenance team. The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for move-in, completing repairs, assisting with preventative maintenance, and helping maintain the overall appearance and condition of the community. This is a Safety Sensitive Position and is a great opportunity for someone with apartment maintenance experience who enjoys working with their hands and seeing the results of their work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous apartment maintenance, make-ready, or Service Technician experience preferred.
  • HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent maintenance certification preferred.
  • General knowledge of apartment repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete units efficiently and thoroughly.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist with other property maintenance needs.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC, CMRP, or equivalent maintenance certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents and ensure units are move-in ready.
  • Complete general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
  • Repair and unclog toilets, sinks, bathtubs, and other plumbing fixtures.
  • Maintain and repair doorknobs, locks, hinges, and gates.
  • Assist with replacing carpet and flooring.
  • Perform minor electrical repairs, including wires, plugs, and switches.
  • Complete painting and touch-up work in apartment homes, common areas, and exterior areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and assist with maintaining clean common areas.
  • Remove trash and debris from vacant apartments and throughout the community.
  • Repair faulty equipment and identify repairs requiring specialized technical assistance.
  • Assist with maintaining heating and plumbing systems.
  • Track maintenance inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Assist with the upkeep of fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency exits, and other property safety equipment.
  • Perform additional maintenance and make-ready duties as assigned.
