About The Position

As a Make-Ready Technician at AG Living, you are essential in preparing vacant units to meet high standards for new residents. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective time management, and the ability to deliver move-in ready units promptly, directly contributing to resident satisfaction and the success of the multi-family community. The position involves a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, cleaning, and cosmetic improvements, with a primary focus on adhering to turnover deadlines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in maintenance, repairs, or construction
  • Strong technical proficiency in various areas, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, flooring, and general repairs
  • Attention to detail and effective time management
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with property management and maintenance teams
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, property standards, and maintenance best practices
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs, maintenance tasks, and cosmetic improvements for move-in ready vacant units.
  • Address plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and fixture replacement needs.
  • Apply paint, touch-ups, and finishes to walls, ceilings, and surfaces.
  • Ensure consistent color matching and maintain a high standard of quality.
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize unit interiors, including kitchens, bathrooms, and windows.
  • Remove debris, dust, and dirt to present units in immaculate condition.
  • Inspect and test appliances, making repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Ensure that appliances are clean and meet property standards.
  • Repair and replace flooring materials, carpets, tiles, and other finishes.
  • Install or replace fixtures, blinds, and hardware as needed.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks to meet turnover deadlines.
  • Coordinate with property management to efficiently schedule make-ready activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours spent.
  • Assist with inventory management of maintenance supplies.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, using appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Follow property policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Inform appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests, and others.
