About The Position

Arcadis Canada is seeking a Major Projects Director to lead the pursuit and delivery of major projects across Canada for the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA). The goal is to optimize Arcadis’ global financial and brand position. The projects managed will be highly complex, multi-year, and involve multiple countries, delivering benefits across the Mobility GBA. These projects are expected to be high-profile and attract significant national and global public attention.

Requirements

• Bachelors or masters degree
• 15+ years of experience pursuing and leading major projects within a multinational engineering or professional services firm
• Demonstrated experience creating and leading high performing teams

• Qualifications in financial/business management, client management, innovation, and leadership are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pursuit and delivery of major projects across Canada for the Mobility Global Business Area (GBA).
• Develop detailed project execution strategies to support the development of high-value project pursuits and play a lead role in the pursuit process.
• Manage relationships with key internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for improved efficiencies, both project-wide and in cross-organizational/GBA working, to ensure commercial viability and customer satisfaction.
• Work with GBA leadership to review and support high-risk projects.
• Contribute to wider organizational initiatives to improve performance.
• Influence a range of senior stakeholders and manage critical relationships to ensure all parties are informed and aligned about how to deliver project objectives.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse project team of senior specialists by setting objectives and reviewing performance.
• Lead strategic negotiations, including contract negotiations with customers, contractors, stakeholders, and major suppliers.
• Build and drive a culture of inclusion, accountability, human-centricity, and sustainability.
