The primary purpose of this position is to build meaningful, strategic relationships to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual major donors, charitable trusts, and family foundations. The Major Gifts Officer (MGO) strategically manages all fundraising activities for an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects. As a key member of the American Indian College Fund’s Resource Development team, this role is critical in helping the organization meet annual revenue goals that support strategic initiatives and long-term sustainability. This position must embody and actively reflect the College Fund’s core values of respect, reciprocity, reasoning, relationships, and responsibility. The Major Gifts Officer works collaboratively within Resource Development and across departments to coordinate efforts and achieve team and organizational objectives. Sound reasoning, accountability, and strategic decision-making are essential to success in this role.
