Temple University's Institutional Advancement Department is searching for a Major Gift Officer - Athletics! This role will devise strategies and be responsible for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship with the purpose of advancing donor levels and closing major gifts for Athletics. The Major Gifts Officer meets or exceeds portfolio metrics including but not limited to: Executing 15-20 substantial face-to-face visits a month and a combination of annual and major proposal goals based on portfolio value and tenure. Goal of 24 major gift proposals delivered and/or 100 annual proposals delivered. Manage a portfolio of 75 donors and prospects with a focus of soliciting and closing major gifts at the $50,000+ level, special gifts, and leadership level annual Gifts(Conwell Level+). Identify and qualify prospects, engage and cultivate current and prospective donors, and steward donors. Responsible for increasing portfolio giving at a rate of 10-25% per year. Create, track and run necessary Annual Giving reports and stats on a weekly basis. Responsible for logging metric and contact information into the University system. Motivates administrators, coaches, staff, and volunteers to participate in the development process and solicitation of gifts. Assists in the execution of special events and staffing of volunteer groups. Oversees specific giving initiatives, events, and projects with the purpose of donor acquisition, portfolio building, and donor participation.
