About The Position
Repair and maintain all production related machinery and physical Plant. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various machinery and auxiliary support equipment. The position also requires performing mold and lining tool changes, adjusting lining machine vision systems, completing documentation, adhering to safety procedures, welding and fabricating parts, and familiarizing oneself with all production floor equipment. The role may also involve operating aerial lifts, motorized pallet jacks, and forklifts, assisting engineering on projects, and performing other assigned duties. Additionally, the position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Safety Rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fork lift certification
- Hands on experience in pneumatics, basic electricity and mechanical devices
- Hands on experience with usage of hand and power tools, measuring devices, welding, surface grinders, lathe
- Ability to read and understand assembly diagrams, electrical and pneumatic symbols and diagrams, and blueprints/schematics
Responsibilities
- Performs preventative maintenance according to established procedures
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on molding and lining department machinery and auxiliary support equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic issues on molding machines
- Contact outside resources to help with troubleshooting and obtain part numbers
- Notify supervisor of part numbers for low inventory stock or parts needed for repairs
- Perform mold and lining tool changes when necessary
- Adjust lining machine vision systems when necessary
- Performs and completes necessary documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly PMs, safety checks, and troubleshooting/repairs
- Follows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures such as lock out / tag out and arch flash
- Welds and/or Fabricates parts (e.g. guards, tooling components) for machines as needed
- Continually increases skills through education and training
- Familiarizes themselves with all equipment on the production floor including its purpose, use, and function
- Must be competent in operation of aerial lifts, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts
- Assist engineering on projects as needed and directed by supervisor
- Performs other duties that may be assigned
- Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures
- Responsible for following all Safety Rules, polices, procedures and work instructions
