About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the building and grounds of the hotel. This includes ensuring the proper operation of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, and lighting systems, as well as specialized equipment. The role also involves property upkeep, compliance with codes, and managing work orders by priority. The individual will assume full responsibility for the condition of the hotel's infrastructure and public areas, including understanding and implementing fire alarm and emergency evacuation procedures. Developing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, updating the safety manual, and conducting training on OSHA regulations, DOT testing, Right to Know Law, and NFPA are key responsibilities. Loss prevention, security, and maintaining facility permits and licenses are also part of the role. The position may require assisting other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Driver's License required
  • Thorough understanding of Ethan Allen Hotel fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation procedures and all safety related issues.
  • Thorough understanding of loss prevention and security.

Responsibilities

  • Proper operations of all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, laundry, kitchen, refrigeration, lighting systems, and all specialized equipment.
  • Property upkeep and compliance with city, state and/or federal code compliance.
  • Review work orders and complete work by priorities.
  • Assume full responsibility for the condition of the property in the heart of the house (the infrastructure) as well as all the public areas.
  • Understand and implement Ethan Allen Hotel fire alarm procedures, emergency evacuation procedures and all safety related issues.
  • Develop & maintain preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.
  • Continuous update of safety manual and all training for entire company including OSHA regulations, DOT testing, Right to Know Law and Chair of safety Committee and NFPA training.
  • Loss prevention and security.
  • Maintain all required permits and licenses for facility.
  • Assist other departments in their regular functions as needed.
