About The Position

To perform a wide variety of maintenance on landscaping equipment to assist with fleet management.

Previous experience as a mechanic
Mainscape Standards of Excellence
Enforce safety of the customer, job site, and company employees on site.
Enforce company safety policies and procedures.
Able to effectively drive and back-up a truck and trailer combination.
Identify and correct all unsafe conditions and practices and communicate actions to supervisor and/or owners.
Adhere to company policies, standards and safety guidelines.
Work with other employees as a team.
Meet or exceed company production rates set forth.
Maintain valid driver’s license and insurability based on company insurance requirements
Ability to communicate w/ lead people and crew members regarding progress of tasks and assignments
Employee must be at least 18 years of age and meet all applicable state-mandated labor laws

Be able to perform all responsibilities required of a fleet mechanic plus those listed below.
Encourage advancement of crew members and crew leaders after proper training has occurred.
Plan, organize and manage shop/facility under assistance of fleet manager.
Develop and maintain motivated and effective crews.
Complete daily paperwork as required by each job
Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting Mainscape’s Standard of Excellence.
Share responsibility for changing oil and grease in basic equipment.
Oversee all equipment has proper safety devices installed and operational.
Maintain equipment in good operating condition.
Operate light/heavy equipment effectively and according to all regulations.
Report any problems with equipment immediately.
PPE required daily
Follow all company policies & procedures, including safety guidelines/standards.
Ensure a safe environment for other workers and vendors, clients and for all employees.
Assist in training of new employees
