About The Position

Maintenance personnel are assigned to a department within the Dakota City complex. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing all company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Must complete an 8-level maintenance training course within an allotted time frame.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, and using stairs and ladders.
  • Must have the necessary communication skills/ ability to understand instructions received via radio.
  • Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal machine instructions/work orders.
  • Ability to correctly complete all job-related paperwork.
  • All job offers are contingent upon providing proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and passing a urinalysis as part of the post-offer health assessment.
  • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR MECHANIC WORK EXPERIENCE DOCUMENTED IN THE WORK HISTORY SECTION OF APLICATION OR BE A GRADUATE OF AN INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TRAINING PROGRAM. (CAN BE COMBINATION OF EXPLOYERS AS LONG AS EXPERIENCE IS AT LEAST 1 YEAR)
  • The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Welding experience preferred but not necessary.
