Requirements

Secondary School Diploma, Technical & Maintenance Training & Mechanical Abilities
2-4 years Related Experience
2 years mechanical systems experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
A valid driver’s license with a clean abstract as a condition of employment
A negative Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required as a condition of employment as per the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007
Promote the culture of a safe and secure work environment
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Must pass Maintenance Test (written and practical)
Must be available to work shift work any day of the week and every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated knowledge of computerized building control systems preferred

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery
Emergency repairs to plumbing, equipment and machinery
Collection of refuse and recycling
Cleaning of service areas
Assisting with incoming deliveries
Snow removal and grass cutting based on season
Attend supplier locations to obtain parts and equipment
Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to and promote a safe and secure work environment
Other related duties as assigned by management
