About The Position
The Maintenance position is responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, functionality, and appearance of the campus facilities. This role performs a variety of maintenance, repair, janitorial, and preventative tasks to ensure all buildings, equipment, and grounds remain clean, operational, and aligned with organizational standards.
Requirements
- HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED REQUIRED; TECHNICAL OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING PREFERRED.
- PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN FACILITY MAINTENANCE, BUILDING OPERATIONS, OR A RELATED FIELD.
- BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, MECHANICAL, AND CARPENTRY SYSTEMS.
- ABILITY TO SAFELY OPERATE MAINTENANCE TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT.
- STRONG PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS AND THE ABILITY TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY.
- PHYSICAL ABILITY TO LIFT, CARRY, CLIMB, AND PERFORM MANUAL LABOR.
- EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete general repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders submitted by staff and leadership.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and systems according to established schedules.
- Ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and fully operational at all times.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and equipment in good working condition.
- Assist with setup and breakdown for campus events, furniture moves, and room configuration changes.
- Support safety protocols, including hazard reporting and emergency response procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed.
- Document all work performed in maintenance logs or digital systems.
