About The Position

Maintenance personnel are assigned to a department within the Dakota City complex. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing all company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

Mechanically inclined
Must complete an 8-level maintenance training course within an allotted time frame
Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, and using stairs and ladders
Must have the necessary communication skills/ ability to understand instructions received via radio
Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal machine instructions/work orders
Ability to correctly complete all job-related paperwork
Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork
Effectively communicate across all management levels
Providing proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
Passing a urinalysis as part of the post-offer health assessment
Minimum of 1 year mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Welding experience preferred but not necessary
