About The Position

This is a part-time, temporary, nonexempt position which is a pay grade 2 on the salary schedule. The primary purpose of this position is to assist tradesmen and other facilities staff in all aspects of physical plant operations including facilities and grounds maintenance.

Requirements

• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Skilled with the use of common tools and equipment used in various trades associated with Physical Plant operations.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Must have the initiative to work alone and proceed with assigned task.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Must show up for work on time as scheduled.
• Ability to lift objects 25-50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in adverse conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen and other facilities staff in all aspects of physical plant operations including facilities and grounds maintenance.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Move furniture.
• Mow and weed eat.
• Work alone and proceed with assigned tasks.
