About The Position

The Maintenance Worker (CRA) is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of city public areas and right-of-ways. This involves removing trash and debris from city receptacles and public spaces, ensuring cleanliness standards are met by following established routes, and performing various landscape tasks. Landscape work includes planting, weeding, maintaining flower beds, and pruning plants and trees. The role requires working with landscape tools and on ladders. Work assignments are provided by a designated crew leader and are subject to inspection for quality and productivity. Typical work hours are from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
  • A valid Florida Driver’s License is required
  • Must meet physical and environmental demands of working outdoors in all weather conditions for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders

Nice To Haves

  • Six (6) months experience in Grounds Maintenance or Landscaping preferred
