About The Position
Temp Now Hiring: Maintenance Worker Roxton, TX | $15.00/hr | Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to support daily operations and help keep our community running smoothly. This is a hands-on role with steady hours and on-the-job training.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Reliable, hands-on, and community-focused
Responsibilities
- Work alongside maintenance staff to perform daily water and sewer plant checks, testing, and readings
- Assist with water leaks, sewer issues, and general maintenance needs
- Help fill potholes and maintain city streets
- Assist with installing culverts and other public works projects
- Read water meters monthly
- Maintain city grounds: mowing, emptying downtown trash cans, checking city buildings, and changing filters
