About The Position

The Maintenance Worker position is responsible for performing skilled work in maintenance or craft occupations. This position is located at the Montana Highway Patrol headquarters in Boulder. Duties may include: Performing preventative maintenance and equipment such as replacing belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and cleaning gears. Paint or repair broken windows, doors, floors, replace broken windows or damaged items Inspect, test and adjust systems such as pumps, alarms, gauges, heating and cooling and electrical components Fabricate or machine parts, tools and other equipment Maintain alter, and repair wooden objects, fixtures and structures Perform carpentry repairs and replacements on defective, broken or worn-out sections Light engine repair and welding

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to attend Boiler Operator training within six months of employment
  • Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of Maintenance work experience
