Our mission is to offer a safe, reliable, and enjoyable ferry experience for passengers transiting the Long Island Sound barrier. The Bridgeport Port Jefferson Ferry is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Worker (Weekends - 8 Hour Days) to join our team.

Requirements

• HS DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
• Must be willing to work weekend, holidays, day/evening shifts as necessary
• Work involves considerable stooping, bending, climbing and working in tight spaces.
• Work involves handling of materiel or chemicals needed for maintenance and repairs; must be able to properly wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, clean and supply restroom(s).
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Notify manager concerning the need for major repairs.
• Other duties as assigned
