About The Position

The Maintenance Worker works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor to repair and maintain the resort building during an assigned shift. The role performs general repairs involving carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, and cosmetic painting, and helps keep guest rooms and resort facilities in working order. This is a regular full-time, non-exempt position with 40 hours per week. Salary is dependent on experience (D.O.E.). The position requires the ability to read, write, and communicate in English, along with the ability to balance, see, hear, speak, and walk. Applicants must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds. Preference is given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes; applicants seeking Indian Preference must submit a Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with their application.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience at a property of similar size.
Some prior knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, and related systems.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to balance, see, hear, speak, and walk.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Repair and service machinery, equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Use the preventative maintenance cart each day.
Replace or repair appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures, and perform general plumbing as needed.
Maintain rooms in working order and use equipment properly.
Perform routine maintenance inspections of kitchen and laundry equipment.
Maintain and repair resort laundry and kitchen equipment.
Complete assigned maintenance orders.
Assist with repairing and maintaining heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems in rooms.
Repair furniture, carpet, marble, tile, windows, mirrors, and decorations as necessary.
Perform other related duties as required.
