About The Position
RSU 19 is seeking a dependable and self-motivated part-time, year-round Maintenance Worker with benefits. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and a variety of basic repair tasks throughout the District.
Requirements
- Prior maintenance experience, including plumbing, minor electrical work, rough carpentry, and finish carpentry
- Experience operating a truck with both open-air and enclosed trailers
- Willingness to learn to operate a farm-sized tractor
- Experience using a man lift
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic mathematical skills
- Computer proficiency for training and email communication
- Ability to effectively operate a cell phone
- A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Ability to obtain clearance through the State of Maine fingerprinting/background check process within 30 days of hire
