About The Position

The Maintenance Worker coordinates and oversees the day-to-day upkeep of the facility’s physical plant and surroundings. The role includes minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs, including painting, and works with facility staff and the Maintenance Director to improve residents’ living quarters and the overall function of facility systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of on-the-job experience.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of construction or professional trade experience.
• Experience with multiple hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily physical plant rounds and inspect the facility for issues requiring repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance rounds as assigned, assessing different aspects of the facility.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to the facility and its equipment.
• Perform painting and correct lighting and cosmetic issues as needed.
• Check maintenance request logbooks at least three times a day and make appropriate corrections.
• Perform duties requested by facility staff and supervisors, including moving furniture, repairing equipment, and resolving problems.
• Work with staff to improve the quality of residents’ living quarters.
• Complete special projects assigned by the Maintenance Director.
• Work with the Maintenance Director to improve the overall function of facility systems.
