About The Position
The UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a Maintenance Worker to join its facilities team. UW Medical Center – Northwest is a full-service medical center based in North Seattle. It is a non-profit community hospital offering comprehensive medical, surgical and therapeutic services. The Plant Engineering Department at the UW Medical Center – Northwest helps UW Medicine fulfill its mission to improve the health of the public by ensuring general maintenance and repairs are completed efficiently and quickly to maintain a safe patient care environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ years of maintenance experience
- Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
Responsibilities
- Performs minor maintenance and repairs throughout the hospital
- Move furniture, cleans work areas, stocks shelves and replaces light bulbs
- Assists Senior Engineers, Carpenters, Painters and Electricians with troubleshooting and repairs
