Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED).
• Valid driver’s license in state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
• Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Technical training and general knowledge of repair and maintenance plus three (3) years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems.
• Recommend contracted assistance when on-center repair is not possible.
• Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed.
• Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.
• Install window shades, coverages, security locks, etc.
• Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, etc.
• Help prepare surfaces for finishing, including painting, as directed.
• Direct inmates assigned to facility maintenance.
