About The Position

Rehabilitation Hospital of Oak Creek is a brand-new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility opening in 2026. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. We strive to maximize the health, function, and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. A Maintenance Worker who excels in this role effectively performs routine and incident specific maintenance tasks. Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations, and Safety/Risk Management Plans, and policies and procedures. Assists in assuring a safe and risk preventative environment. Complies with MSDS regulations and ensures documentation is current within the guidelines required by law. Assists in any emergencies that may arise, as requested. Inspects safety of all patient areas, bathrooms, outside areas, etc. Ensures adequate preventative maintenance of building facility/equipment. Completes safety inspections as instructed by Plant Operations Manager. Tags and inspects all electrical equipment. Disposes of infectious/contaminated waste from the facility. Maintains hospital grounds in a neat and attractive manner. Follows blueprints, sketches, and operational manuals for maintenance and repair projects. Takes necessary safety precautions when handling tools and equipment. Assures that tools are appropriately stored away from patient access.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Combination of education and relevant work experience may be required.
  • Previous experience in plant operations in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements is helpful.
  • Valid driver’s license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own auto.
  • Must show proof of automobile insurance.
  • May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
