This is semi-skilled work in golf course maintenance. An employee in this class is responsible for the performance of various physical tasks including routine manual labor involving grounds construction and maintenance work. Duties are performed under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent. This position requires an introductory knowledge of the operation of equipment, including large equipment such as tractors, riding mowers and utility vehicles, and a variety of small hand-powered equipment such as trimmers. The primary work site is the city-owned golf course.
