About The Position

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment critical to the efficient functioning of the treatment facility. This role plays a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of equipment and systems essential for wastewater treatment processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance is required, preferably in a wastewater treatment or similar process industry.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License (Class C) at time of placement.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including the operation, maintenance, and repair of pumps, motors, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge and proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics to interpret equipment specifications and diagnose issues.
  • Skill in troubleshooting mechanical systems and identifying faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and procedures.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical repairs and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to solve complex mechanical issues with attention to detail while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team, as well as with contractors, vendors, and other external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment, including pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, blowers, and control systems, to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective repairs using diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and schematics to identify and address root causes of issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and maintenance needs, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and upgrades, collaborating with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
  • Provide training and guidance to plant personnel on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices to promote skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This position is an essential service position and will require providing services during emergency situations.
