The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Maintenance Worker I/II position. This position performs unskilled and semi-skilled work in the care and maintenance of facilities, buildings, roads, water and wastewater and related DOA and local agency areas surrounding such facilities. This position assists skilled crew and learns to perform basic tasks in such craft areas as carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, electronic and mechanical repair, and construction. Further, this position loads and unloads trucks, fuels equipment, vehicles, automobiles and trucks, picks up and delivers materials and equipment, cleans and maintains tools and equipment, and maintains work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Further, this position operates and adjusts a variety of hand and power tools and equipment common to the maintenance area to which assigned and may operate light equipment and drive trucks as assigned. This recruitment may be used to hire for various divisions including, but not limited to, Facilities, Terminal Operations, and Airside Operations. Maintenance Worker I: $20.69 - $30.52 Hourly Maintenance Worker II: $22.33 - $32.96 Hourly The Maintenance Worker I is a training underfill position, upon successful completion of the training program the successful candidate will be non-competitively promoted to Maintenance Worker II. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility List to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services.
