About The Position

This position is responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles. It also involves routine groundskeeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape, minor plumbing and carpentry repair work, and regular cleaning and sanitization of buildings as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years of experience in handling minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Good skill in the use of hand, lawn, and power tools.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects (25-50 lbs.).
• Physical ability to "team lift" heavy materials, supplies and equipment (50-100 lbs) occasionally.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
• Ability to read and follow a map and/or hand-written directions.
• Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Performs routine repairs and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and vehicles.
• Performs routine groundskeeping work to ensure the beautification of the landscape.
• Performs minor plumbing and carpentry repair work.
• Regularly cleans building and sanitizes as necessary.
• Mows grass and edges lawns, sidewalks, and curbs; cleans debris.
• Cuts-down trees; trims trees and bushes.
• Ensures proper maintenance of grounds keeping equipment; lubricates mowers and tractor fittings; installs tractor tires as needed.
