About The Position

The Maintenance Worker works under the direction of the Supervisor, Maintenance. This position is responsible for the proper operation of the facility, equipment and grounds. The special nature of this position may require working any shift, all days of the week and holidays.

Requirements

• Three years or more experience in general maintenance work or a specific building trade
• Current California Driver’s License
• Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
• Knowledge of building maintenance techniques, equipment and operation of plumbing, HVAC, sanitation, refrigeration, electrical systems, carpentry and fire and safety regulations and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Two years experience in hospital facility maintenance
• Certification in building trades or hospital maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the proper operation of the facility, equipment and grounds.
• May require additional expertise in one of these specific trades.
• Must be able to repair minor and major equipment with little supervision.
